Zane Venture Fund announces the Launch of Zane Access

A first-of-its-kind approach for supporting the accelerated growth, development, and scaling of early stage companies

Atlanta, Feb 21, 2020 ( - Zane Venture Fund Founder and Managing Partner, Shila Nieves Burney, announces the launch of Zane Access - a first-of-its-kind approach for supporting the accelerated growth, development, and scaling of early-stage companies.

Building on the success of the Zane Forums, with the first three Forums being attended by over 400 founders, Zane Access will be available to all companies led by diverse founders and teams. Zane Access will foster a community for diverse entrepreneurs, through a combination of the Zane Forums, local events to bring resources to founders in their own back yards, access to expert resources such as accounting and legal services at pre-negotiated rates, and access to a network of cross-functional expert support to help founders overcome the key obstacles of an early-stage company's success.

The Zane Venture Fund is passionate about helping all early-stage founders, not just those that the fund invests in, successfully grow and scale their businesses into world-class organizations. As the saying goes, "it takes a village to raise a child," but it's also true that it takes a community to help diverse founders succeed. We know that it takes much more than capital to help early-stage companies grow and the Zane Venture Fund is committed to being an extended, value-added partner to diverse founders building tech-enabled solutions and diverse teams.

Zane Venture Fund names Marguerite Pressley Davis as Managing Director of Zane

"We are ecstatic that Marguerite has decided to join the Zane team. With her financial
background, experience helping companies grow and scale, as well as the fact that she has been a successful founder herself, Marguerite will be an incredible resource for our founders and our fund."

Pressley Davis has spent her career helping companies to grow and scale, while tackling key strategic and operational challenges during her tenure in Deloitte Consulting's Mergers & Acquisitions practice, as an analyst at Goldman Sachs supporting a $2 billion portfolio of private equity, alternative energy, and commercial real estate investments, and at the Clinton Foundation's economic opportunity initiative to grow and scale minority-owned businesses.

Pressley Davis is also a tech founder herself, with a successful exit of her first start-up, and is the creator of Your Profit Playbook, the leading program to help entrepreneurs and small business owners build financial plans and master the financial side to running a business.

"Starting a company is one story but staying in business and growing and scaling a profitable business is a whole different story," said Pressley Davis. "The answer doesn't end at access to capital; early-stage founders struggle with access to the right expert resources at the right time to support their needs to grow and scale their companies. I am incredibly supportive of the Zane Venture Fund mission and am excited to partner with Shila to support these incredibly talented diverse founders."

Zane Venture Fund will be hosting its first Founders Roadmap Forum of 2020 in New
York City on March 18th and 19th at SAP Next-Gen. March 18th will include a VIP invite-only founder and investor reception, followed by a full day on March 19th of fireside chats, panels, and breakout sessions curated to help founders build their roadmap and successfully navigate the fundraising trail.
