John P. Fernandes, an Arizona native and youth pastor, has completed his new book, "Contemporary Discipleship": a faith-based guide to modern-day discipleship.
Fernandes shares, "Fernandes writes his philosophy of modern-day discipleship in his book Contemporary Discipleship. Fernandes breaks down the different aspects of effective discipleship while also defining what biblical discipleship is. Discipleship is a chain, and each discipleship relationship is another link on the continuous chain. The chain starts with Christ, meaning that each teacher should point their disciple to Christ and aim to make them look more like Christ, not like them. We can do that through doing life together and doing ministry together. Through those things, the teacher is taking the opportunity to invest in the disciple."
Published by Covenant Books of Murrells Inlet, South Carolina, John P. Fernandes' new book offers encouragement and guidance while informing those who wish to learn of discipleship of the innermost workings through a philosophical lens.
Readers can purchase "Contemporary Discipleship" at bookstores everywhere, or online at the Apple iTunes Store, Amazon or Barnes & Noble.
