Bangkok’s Newest Lifestyle Boutique Hotel

Dec 6, 2023

The Ember is Bangkok’s newest design-driven lifestyle boutique hotel, located in the heart of historic Old Bangkok, just a stone’s throw from the iconic Khao San Road.

Bangkok, Thailand - December 6, 2023 —

The hotel is conveniently located near some of Bangkok’s world-renowned attractions, including the Grand Palace, the historic temples of Wat Pho and Wat Arun, as well as other gems of the Old Town. Ideally situated for exploring the cultural side of the most visited city in the world, The Ember is also close to the scenic Chao Phraya River and the crowded food haven, Chinatown (Wat Mangkon).

“The Ember’s design was inspired by local heritage and the rich history of the neighbourhood, which can be seen throughout the hotel,” according to Khun JJ, lead designer of The Ember. The ten columns forming the hotel’s façade pay homage to the ten heritage shophouses that once stood on site. The intricate brick layout of each column draws inspiration from and is an abstract 3D interpretation of the native Tako tree that can be found in neighbouring temple grounds. The charcoal alleyway that greets guests checking-in pays tribute to the Javanese hawkers who used to grill satay skewers by the streets in the past. The interior of the hotel is adorned with beautiful paintings by local artist, Sumath Kunsumas, and specially commissioned photographs of the local neighbourhood.

“Guests at The Ember can expect warm & genuine service with a smile. We are committed to ensuring that our guests have an exceptionally memorable experience, with a clean, comfortable, and delightful stay,” said Khun Prin, The Ember’s Assistant General Manager.

With the intention of creating a cozy, tranquil haven for our guests, The Ember has been meticulously designed as a lavish sanctuary to escape the hustle and bustle of the city. The luxe rooms offer premium five-star bedding, soft silky sheets, blackout curtains, and plush towels. Every detail has been carefully considered, from full-sized LED mirrors, snug bathrobes and cove lighting to spa-inspired toiletries and complimentary local coffee & tea. The Ember’s Superior and Premier Rooms offer full views of the streets below, while the Cozy and Deluxe Rooms offer a private balcony alcove, perfect for reading a book while having a cup of coffee or a glass of wine.

Part of The Ember’s appeal is its signature breakfast, which The Ember boasts as the best breakfast in Old Bangkok. Guests can enjoy a combination of cooked-to-order à la carte dishes such as the fusion Kra Pow Croissant, or Fluffy Pancakes, as well as the buffet bar, featuring a salad bar, fresh breads & pastries, an egg station and more.

The hotel’s restaurant, Tani.BKK, offers a modern and authentic Thai concept, accentuated by local herbs, spices and smoky flavours from its open-fire grill. Guests can enjoy local favourites, such as the famous Khao Soi curry noodles, the signature Tani Pad Thai, paired perfectly with refreshing drinks like artisanal cocktails and craft beer on tap. Tani.BKK serves mouthwatering grilled dishes as well, such as succulent & lightly charred skewers, tender, juicy steaks done to perfection, and more.

The Sanay Rooftop Bar sits atop The Ember, presenting a picturesque setting with panoramic sunset views of Old Bangkok, complemented by a delightful selection of drinks and a refreshing cool breeze. Overlooking the Tani neighborhood, Sanay Bar is the ideal place to start the night, with captivating live music and an array of bar games, making it an ideal place to unwind and relax after a busy day.

Be sure to check out The Ember for your next stay in Bangkok, the perfect stay to explore Old Bangkok and party the night away at Khao San!
