A.J. Brown criticizes his return in Patriots' 26-19 win over Jets
Brown caught three passes on 10 targets after a four-game injury absence and said his ankle did not affect his performance.

A.J. Brown offered no injury-related explanation for his struggles after returning to action in the Patriots' 26-19 victory over the Jets. The wide receiver dropped three passes and mishandled an onside kick following a four-game absence caused by an ankle injury.
Brown caught three of the 10 passes quarterback Drake Maye directed his way. Afterward, he described problems with his timing, said he was capable of making the missed plays and promised to improve. He said the ankle had played no part in his performance.
The Jets had narrowed the gap to seven points late in the fourth quarter before Brown failed to control their onside kick. Tight end Eli Raridon collected the ball, securing the victory for the Patriots.
The Patriots face the Bears next. Romeo Doubs injured his shoulder on an early touchdown catch against the Jets and may not be able to play.
