A rushing attack led by Bucky Irving and Kenneth Gainwell carried the Buccaneers to a 16-0 victory over the Falcons in rainy conditions in Tampa Bay. Baker Mayfield finished 0-for-3, making the Buccaneers the first NFL team since the 1974 Bills to finish a game without a completed pass.

Irving and Gainwell each topped 100 rushing yards as the Buccaneers won despite getting no completions from Mayfield. The result put both teams at 3-5 for the season.

Falcons quarterback Michael Penix completed 8-for-24 for 125 yards but threw four interceptions and no touchdowns. Running back Bijan Robinson had difficulty maintaining his footing in the wet weather, gaining 76 yards across 19 carries.

The Bills also won their game with no completed passes in 1974, defeating the Jets 16-12. O.J. Simpson rushed for 117 yards in that matchup, the previous instance of an NFL team going an entire game without a completion.
