Caleb Williams connected with Luther Burden for a 1-yard touchdown as the Bears moved ahead of the Seahawks 7-0 on Monday Night Football. Chicago scored on its first possession, holding the ball for 8 minutes and 32 seconds.

The 80-yard possession required 17 plays, more than any other drive against Seattle this season. It also gave Chicago its 11th drive lasting 5-plus minutes this season.

Chicago finished 3-of-4 on third down during the possession. Facing fourth-and-1 at their own 49, the Bears extended the drive with a 5-yard carry by D’Andre Swift. Williams went 8-of-10 for 58 yards; Burden contributed four receptions totaling 23 yards, and tight end Colston Loveland caught three passes for 27 yards.

Seattle’s opening possession ended in a three-and-out. Michael Dickson’s punt was initially downed inside the 5-yard line, but a touchback followed when Rodney Thomas slid into the ball and then into the end zone.
