Bears quarterback Caleb Williams has moved to the top of the NFL’s completion-percentage rankings in 2026, completing 72.5 percent of his passes. He ended the 2025 season in 32nd place at 58.1 percent.

Against the Falcons, Williams connected on 30 of his 36 attempts for an 83.3 percent completion rate. That performance set his career best for completion percentage in a game.

The current season’s figure puts Williams above a target set by Ben Johnson when he took over as Bears head coach in 2025. Johnson wanted the quarterback to complete at least 70 percent of his passes.

Both Williams and the Bears improved during Johnson’s first season, but the quarterback’s completion rate remained low. During training camp ahead of the 2026 season, Johnson expressed confidence that Williams would continue to improve that figure.
