Kansas City announced that rookie cornerback Mansoor Delane will not play against the Broncos because of a shoulder injury and that cornerback L’Jarius Sneed has been placed on injured reserve. Sneed will be unavailable for at least the next four games.

Delane hurt his shoulder during practice Wednesday and was listed as a non-participant when the Chiefs added him to the injury report Thursday. He had also experienced a shoulder injury during training camp and aggravated it in Week 1.

A first-round pick, Delane has recorded 27 tackles, an interception and five passes defensed across five games this season. Sneed had been designated questionable after missing practice Wednesday for personal/knee reasons, then taking part on a limited basis Thursday and Friday.

The Chiefs also moved two players up from their practice squad. Cornerback Melvin Smith signed to join the active roster, while defensive end Tyreke Smith was activated for the game-day roster.
