Coen urges Jaguars to stay focused after Colts trade Nelson and Buckner
Jacksonville's coach said Indianapolis remains a competitive division opponent despite losing two players he praised.

Jaguars head coach Liam Coen said the departures of Quenton Nelson and DeForest Buckner would make Indianapolis an easier opponent, but warned Jacksonville against letting the Colts' trades distract from its own preparation.
Ahead of Jacksonville's home matchup against its division rival, Coen praised both players. He described offensive lineman Nelson's performances as among his career's best and highlighted defensive lineman Buckner's ability to disrupt running and passing plays, including by deflecting passes.
Coen said Jacksonville needed to concentrate on improving its execution, technique and fundamentals rather than personnel decisions outside its control. He emphasized that Indianapolis would still offer strong competition and that his players should expect an opponent intent on winning.
Asked about the possibility of a Jonathan Taylor trade, Coen indicated he did not expect one. He also pointed to Jacksonville's game against Philadelphia, saying that opponent had been missing several players yet kept the contest competitive until the end.
