The Colts have added Kevin Givens to their active roster, announcing the signing of the defensive tackle from the 49ers’ practice squad. The move follows the team's trade of defensive tackle DeForest Buckner to the 49ers.

After arriving with the 49ers during the 2019 season, Givens played in 71 regular-season matchups and nine playoff games. His statistics with the team included 106 tackles, 8.5 sacks and two fumble recoveries. He also forced a fumble.

The Colts also traded veteran guard Quenton Nelson to the Seahawks. Offensive lineman Charlie Heck took Nelson's place on the roster, while Givens fills the opening left by Buckner.
