Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Josh Downs has asked to be traded, ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler reported. The request comes as the team makes roster changes, having traded Quenton Nelson and DeForest Buckner.

Downs, Nelson and Buckner are all playing the final year of their contracts. Before his request, Downs had already featured on lists of potential Colts trade candidates ahead of the November 10 deadline. Ed Dodds is serving as interim general manager.

A third-round selection in 2023, Downs has recorded 26 receptions totaling 307 yards this season. His career totals stand at 224 receptions, 2,447 yards and 11 touchdowns.

Running back Jonathan Taylor has also been mentioned in trade speculation despite signing a two-year contract extension. Separately, the Jets hold Indianapolis’ first-round selection in the 2027 draft.
