A Washington Commanders defeat against the 49ers would give the NFC East a distinction unmatched since the AFL-NFL merger, according to Associated Press reporter Josh Dubow: two successive weeks without a victory, with every team participating in both.

Washington’s game at Levi’s Stadium is the division’s remaining opportunity to avoid that outcome. The 49ers enter as favorites by more than a touchdown; a Commanders loss would leave the NFC East at 0-6-2 for the stretch.

The Eagles have gone 0-2 during the period, as have the Cowboys. For the Giants, a draw against Washington in Week Five was followed by a defeat against the Saints.

The Week Seven schedule pairs Philadelphia with Dallas, while the Giants head to Houston. Washington has its bye. The NFC East is still looking for its ninth victory of the season.
