Cowboys suffer first home loss after holding 14-point fourth-quarter lead
Arizona won 33-30 in overtime, leaving Dallas with a defeat that matched its largest fourth-quarter lead surrendered.

The Cowboys held a 24-10 lead over the Cardinals with 14:20 remaining in regulation but finished with a 33-30 overtime defeat. It was the first home loss in franchise history after Dallas held an advantage of 14 points or more during the fourth quarter.
ESPN put the Cowboys’ previous home record under those circumstances at 202-0-1, counting postseason games. The result tied the largest fourth-quarter advantage Dallas has surrendered in a loss.
Across home and road games, the franchise now has a 342-3-1 record after holding a fourth-quarter advantage of at least 14 points.
Cowboys owner Jerry Jones criticized the team’s second-half performance and said it had failed to capitalize on repeated opportunities to win. He said the team had not played well after halftime.
Dallas was also the first NFL team this season to lose from that position. Before the game, teams holding fourth-quarter leads of at least 14 points had gone 44-0-1.
