Aston Villa manager Unai Emery heads into an EFL Cup fourth-round meeting with Bournemouth having avoided defeat in all 10 of his previous matches against the club. Another unbeaten result would bring that sequence level with his longest active runs against any opponent.

Emery has won seven and drawn three of those encounters, with three coming during his time at Arsenal and seven while leading Villa. His ongoing unbeaten records against Lille and Rayo Vallecano each stand at 11 matches.

Across the 10 Bournemouth meetings, Emery's sides have conceded seven goals and kept four clean sheets. In his four visits to the Vitality Stadium, none of his teams has scored more than twice.

The cup tie also brings Emery up against Bournemouth head coach Marco Rose for their second competitive meeting. Their only previous encounter came in December 2024, when Villa beat Rose's RB Leipzig side 3-2 in Germany in the Champions League.
