The Falcons will sign Charles Snowden, an outside linebacker on the Commanders’ practice squad, according to NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport. The move would give the team another option at edge rusher.

Two of the Falcons’ 2025 first-round picks are unavailable: Jalon Walker is sidelined for the season, while James Pearce must serve two more games of an eight-game suspension. The team’s current edge options include Samson Ebukam, Cameron Thomas, Za’Darius Smith and Bralen Trice.

Snowden began the offseason with the Raiders before being released in May. He then spent part of the summer with the Cowboys and subsequently signed with the Commanders, joining their practice squad before the reported Falcons move.

Across the past two seasons, Snowden played 31 games with the Raiders. His totals over that span included 67 tackles, with 12 for loss, along with 4.5 sacks and an interception.
