The Giants and cornerback Greg Newsome have reached an agreement on a three-year contract extension worth US$46 million, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported. The deal includes guarantees totaling US$32 million.

Newsome joined the NFC East team in the offseason on a one-year free-agent contract. The extension would keep him with the Giants beyond the end of the 2026 season.

Through six games this season, Newsome has recorded 25 tackles, along with six passes defensed and an interception.

The Browns selected Newsome in the first round in 2021 and traded him to the Jaguars during the 2025 season. Across 77 regular-season appearances, he has accumulated 232 tackles, five interceptions and one sack. His career also includes playoff appearances with both the Browns and Jaguars.
