Jim Harbaugh said he wants defensive lineman Khalil Mack to stay with the Chargers, pushing back when asked about a possible trade ahead of the November 10 deadline. Harbaugh said Mack also wants to remain with the team.

Harbaugh described Mack as a central member of the roster. His comments came with the Chargers at 0-7, leaving them as the only NFL team without a victory.

Rather than considering potential deals, Harbaugh said he was concentrating on preparations for the Texans and on getting the Chargers to play winning football.

He acknowledged that General Manager Joe Hortiz and Assistant General Manager Chad Alexander might be exploring trades. Harbaugh said the organization was continually seeking ways to improve the team, while emphasizing that his own focus remained on the upcoming opponent.
