Charlotte will honor Muggsy Bogues with a jersey retirement on Feb. 11, according to NBA insider Shams Charania. His No. 1 will join the No. 30 of former teammate Dell Curry, whose jersey the Hornets retired last season.

At 5-foot-3, Bogues is the shortest player ever to compete in the NBA. He played 14 seasons in the league, including 10 with Charlotte from 1988-1998. He remains the Hornets' career leader in three categories: minutes played, assists and steals.

The honor makes Bogues the second Hornets player to have his number retired in two seasons. Some of his former teammates will attend the ceremony, with his jersey set to hang alongside Curry's at the Spectrum Center.

Bogues and Curry both joined Charlotte before the 1988-89 season. Bogues was traded during the 1997-98 season, while Curry departed as a free agent after that season ended. Curry also spent 10 seasons with the franchise.
