Rayuan Lane earned AFC defensive player of the week honors following Jacksonville’s 42-7 victory against the Colts. The Jaguars safety contributed a touchdown on an interception return, along with four tackles, a quarterback hit and three passes defensed.

Jacksonville used reserve safeties against the Colts because of injuries. Lane entered the NFL as a sixth-round pick in 2025. Fellow Jaguars safety Eric Murray will miss the rest of the season with an elbow injury.
