Lions running back Jahmyr Gibbs enters the matchup against the Vikings with career totals of 5,919 scrimmage yards and 58 scrimmage touchdowns. Gibbs, whom Detroit drafted in 2023, could reach the 6,000-yard and 60-touchdown marks in that game.

Gibbs also has a potential single-season record in view. His 890 scrimmage yards this season put him on a projected pace of 2,522 yards over 17 games. That would surpass the NFL record Chris Johnson established in 2009 with 2,509 yards.

Hall of Famers Terrell Davis and LaDainian Tomlinson both reached the career benchmarks Gibbs is approaching during their opening four NFL seasons. Davis recorded 7,594 scrimmage yards and 61 touchdowns for the Broncos over that span, while Tomlinson totaled 7,921 scrimmage yards and 60 touchdowns for the Chargers.
