Javonte Williams carried 25 times for 155 yards, the highest rushing total of his career, as the Cowboys defeated the Eagles 38-21 on the road. His touchdown in the fourth quarter sealed the victory after Dallas had lost its previous two games.

The Cowboys also used Tyler Goodson for 11 carries. Through the air, Dak Prescott connected with CeeDee Lamb and George Pickens for three touchdowns, giving Dallas production from both its passing and running games.

Speaking to the team’s website, Williams said head coach Brian Schottenheimer had emphasized reaching at least 25 rushing attempts in the game. Williams said the performance gave Schottenheimer confidence to continue choosing running plays and credited the receiving options with creating opportunities for the ground game.

Williams had totaled 23 carries across Weeks 5 and 6. Dallas scored 29 points combined in those defeats against the Packers and Buccaneers before winning in Philadelphia.
