Kyler Murray connected with Justin Jefferson on a 1-yard touchdown pass early in the second quarter as the Vikings moved ahead of the Lions, 7-3. The score came after the Vikings had missed an earlier field-goal opportunity.

Facing single coverage on the left, Jefferson tipped Murray’s fade throw to himself before diving to complete the reception. It was his first catch of the game and brought his touchdown total for the season to four.

Murray’s passing line stood at 4-of-9 for 62 yards and a touchdown. In the opening quarter, Will Reichard had sent a 57-yard field-goal attempt to the right of the uprights.

Detroit receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown returned to play after being evaluated in the locker room. He had gone down during an end-zone play ultimately ruled an incomplete pass, but returned to the sideline and took the field for Detroit’s next possession.
