Jets erase late four-goal deficit to beat Canadiens in overtime
Winnipeg ended a nine-game losing streak with a rally that ESPN Insights identified as the latest-starting four-goal comeback in NHL history.

The Winnipeg Jets overcame a 4-0 deficit against the Montreal Canadiens with 2:40 remaining in regulation, forcing overtime before Dylan Samberg scored the winner. The victory ended Winnipeg's nine-game losing streak.
Kyle Connor scored twice during Winnipeg's 128-second, four-goal rally, with Tyrel Bauer and Morgan Barron also contributing goals. Connor's power-play goal tied the contest with 32 seconds remaining. Samberg then secured the victory 3:30 into overtime.
According to ESPN Insights, no NHL team had started a successful four-goal comeback later in a game. Winnipeg began its rally at 57:21, surpassing the mark set by the Los Angeles Kings on Nov. 10, 2007. The Kings began their comeback at 52:46 before defeating the Dallas Stars 6-5 in overtime.
Winnipeg had also lost its first five games following the Oct. 23 trade of Connor Hellebuyck to the New Jersey Devils. Hellebuyck, the 2025 Hart Memorial Trophy winner, won his Devils debut four days after the deal.
