Joao Neves says he wants to spend his career at PSG
The Portugal midfielder, whose contract runs until June 2031, told CANAL+ that playing in England or Spain is not a career objective.

Joao Neves wants to remain with Paris Saint-Germain for the rest of his playing career, the 22-year-old midfielder told French broadcaster CANAL+. The Portugal international said his priorities were personal happiness and winning with PSG, rather than pursuing a move to England or Spain.
His remarks follow a contract extension through June 2031. PSG announced the agreement in September alongside extensions for Willian Pacho, Lucas Beraldo, Senny Mayulu and Fabian Ruiz. Manchester United and Manchester City have previously been linked with Neves, but there is no indication that either club is currently negotiating to sign him.
Neves joined PSG from Benfica in 2024 and has helped Luis Enrique's team win the Champions League twice in succession. In their 6-0 away win over Villarreal, he scored after nine minutes and later contributed an assist. PSG have won all four of their opening league-phase matches.
Despite that start, Neves said sustaining the team's standards would be harder than winning the two European titles. He identified a top-eight league-phase finish as a target, noting that PSG had not achieved that position in either of the previous two seasons.
