Josh Jacobs returns to Packers practice with Lions game status undecided
Coach Matt LaFleur said practice will determine whether the running back plays against Detroit and how much work he gets if active.

Packers running back Josh Jacobs will practice throughout the week after coming off the Commissioner Exempt list, coach Matt LaFleur said. His availability against the Lions remains undecided, with LaFleur waiting to assess his practice performance before determining whether he will play.
LaFleur said Jacobs’s workload, should he be active, will also depend on how practice goes. The coach said Jacobs had continued training but had been away from football activity, leaving his readiness for game action to be evaluated.
During his paid leave, Jacobs attended team meetings and worked on conditioning, according to LaFleur. The coach expressed hope that his return could help a Packers rushing offense that ranks last in the league.
Jacobs recorded 2,258 rushing yards and 29 touchdowns across his first two seasons with Green Bay. While he is returning to the practice field, defensive end Micah Parsons will remain out of practice as the Packers prepare for Detroit.
