Lions safety Kerby Joseph will miss the upcoming game despite returning to practice after a lengthy absence with a knee injury. Coach Dan Campbell said the plan could include more practice work for Joseph next week.

The All-Pro has been sidelined since Week 6 of last season and is now within his 21-day window to return to practice. His participation has been limited to individual drills. Cornerback Roger McCreary was added to the Lions’ injury report Friday because of a foot injury. He is listed as questionable and is the only player other than Joseph carrying a game-status designation.

Running back Jahmyr Gibbs, who has a shoulder injury, and wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown, who has an ankle injury, completed another full practice Friday. Both missed Wednesday’s session, but neither has an injury designation.
