Bayern Munich face uncertainty over Joshua Kimmich for their Champions League meeting with Arsenal after the midfielder missed a training session. Assistant coach Aaron Danks attributed his absence to personal reasons but could not say whether he would play at the Allianz Arena.

Kimmich, 31, has made 10 appearances across all competitions this season, including nine starts. With Manuel Neuer unavailable, he took the captain's armband and played 90 minutes as Bayern beat RB Leipzig 6-1.

A foot injury kept Neuer out against Leipzig. The 40-year-old goalkeeper has returned to training, although Danks said a decision on his participation against Arsenal was still pending. Neuer had spent two days back on the pitch, Danks added.

Kompany's attendance is also in doubt. Danks, who spoke to reporters instead of the head coach, said Kompany was resting with a viral infection but remained in contact and continued to contribute.

Michael Olise is suspended after receiving a red card during Bayern's 3-3 draw with Viking FK. Jamal Musiala is also sidelined by a thigh injury.
