Luis Enrique puts possession at center of PSG plan to contain Yamal
PSG and Barcelona enter their Champions League meeting in Paris with six points each after winning their opening two matches.

Luis Enrique said Paris Saint-Germain would seek to limit Barcelona forward Lamine Yamal through possession when the teams meet in the Champions League in Paris. The PSG head coach acknowledged that Barcelona's quality would make it difficult for his side to control the ball as much as he wanted.
Addressing reporters before the match, Enrique said containing the 19-year-old would require concentration and a collective effort. Yamal has contributed one goal and four assists across two Champions League appearances this season. His overall Barcelona record stands at 58 goals and 62 assists from 162 appearances.
Enrique also discussed facing a club he previously represented as both player and coach. He managed Barcelona from May 2014 to May 2017, collecting nine trophies, including the Champions League. He said his attachment to Barcelona remained strong, but his focus as PSG manager was on winning the meeting rather than looking further ahead in the competition.
Defending champions PSG lead the Champions League standings with six points, while Barcelona sit second with six points. Each team has won its first two matches.
