Patrick Mahomes matches Tom Brady's pace to 100 regular-season wins
The Chiefs quarterback reached the milestone in 131 starts after a victory over the Chargers.

Patrick Mahomes recorded his 100th regular-season victory as a starter when the Chiefs beat the Chargers, reaching that total in 131 starts. He shares the record with Tom Brady for reaching 100 wins in the fewest starts.
Speaking at his postgame press conference, Mahomes said comparisons with Brady were an honor and a source of motivation. But he emphasized that moving ahead of Brady in most winning categories remained a distant goal, with many more victories and Super Bowls needed.
Mahomes said his understanding of how to win had improved during his career. Against the Chargers, he said the defense's performance meant he did not need to chase big passing numbers. After forcing a play early, he shifted his attention to finding a way to secure the victory.
His immediate focus, Mahomes said, was on winning and then preparing to face the Seahawks. He also described bringing teammates along and competing as qualities he wanted to carry through his career.
