Real Madrid's interest in Vitinha has not led to a concrete approach or formal negotiations, Spanish publication AS reported. Paris Saint-Germain remain unwilling to sell the 26-year-old Portugal midfielder, despite repeated links with the Spanish club.

According to AS, Madrid admire Vitinha as they look for a midfielder to help control possession following the departures of Toni Kroos and Luka Modric. But that interest has not developed into an active effort to secure his transfer.

His agent, Jorge Mendes, said in June that neither Vitinha nor fellow PSG midfielder Joao Neves was available to other clubs. Mendes described both players as indispensable and said they were happy in Paris. Vitinha's deal with PSG runs through June 2029.

Vitinha also expressed his preference to stay during a March interview with Canal 11, saying a departure would not be the best choice for him. He said he and his family were settled in Paris and spoke positively about his relationship with coach Luis Enrique.
