Angel Reese said she needed to take a more aggressive approach on offense after the Atlanta Dream fell 68-64 to the Golden State Valkyries in Game 1 of the WNBA Finals. She plans to make that adjustment in Game 2.

Asked by reporters about her reduced offensive impact after halftime, Reese put the responsibility on herself rather than Golden State's defense. She said she had not been aggressive enough with the ball and intended to improve that part of her performance in the next game.

Reese recorded 14 points, 12 rebounds and two steals over 35 minutes. Atlanta's Allisha Gray scored 19 points, but none came in the fourth quarter, according to ESPN research.

Williams paced the Valkyries with 26 points. She also converted four free throws during the final 1:18, helping Golden State close out the victory and leave Atlanta trailing heading into Game 2.
