Seahawks reach deal for Colts guard Quenton Nelson
Indianapolis will receive two draft picks for the veteran guard, who is playing out the final year of his contract.

Seattle has agreed to acquire guard Quenton Nelson from Indianapolis, according to multiple reports. The Seahawks will give the Colts a third-round pick in 2027 and a fifth-round selection in 2028 as compensation for the longtime member of Indianapolis' offensive line.
Nelson's departure comes as the Colts rebuild following the firing of General Manager Chris Ballard. His contract expires after this season. Selected sixth overall in 2018, Nelson earned first-team All-Pro honors in each of his first three seasons. His career honors also include three second-team All-Pro selections and eight Pro Bowl selections.
Seattle used Gray Zabel and Anthony Bradford as its starting guards during the Week 7 victory over Kansas City. Left tackle Charles Cross exited that game because of an ankle injury, and the length of his absence remains unclear. Nelson's arrival will bring changes to the line as Seattle pursues a playoff berth and a second consecutive Super Bowl championship.
