Broncos coach Sean Payton will face the Chiefs with an opportunity to record his 200th NFL coaching victory. Five wins in 2026 have brought his career total to 199, including the postseason, putting him within one victory of a milestone reached by 11 other coaches.

Payton has a 199-120 record across 319 games. That includes a 189-110 mark during regular-season play and a 10-10 record in postseason games.

Two additional wins would move him into a tie for 10th with Dan Reeves and Mike Tomlin. Four further victories would match Marty Schottenheimer’s 205. Chuck Noll holds eighth place with 209, while Paul Brown ranks seventh with 222.

Payton, 62, is also seeking to become the first coach to win Super Bowls with two different teams. Giants coach John Harbaugh and Steelers coach Mike McCarthy are among the others positioned to pursue that distinction.
