Broncos coach Sean Payton earned his 200th career victory in his 320th game, reaching the mark faster than all but five coaches. Payton previously spent a long tenure coaching the Saints.

Don Shula needed the fewest games to record 200 victories, reaching the milestone in 286. George Halas followed at 287, while Curly Lambeau required 300. Bill Belichick reached it after 307 games and Paul Brown after 309. Tom Landry, immediately behind Payton on that measure, needed 325 games.

Payton’s next targets on the career victories list are Dan Reeves and Mike Tomlin, both with 201 wins. Marty Schottenheimer has 205 victories, followed by Chuck Noll with 209.

Further ahead in career wins are Brown at 222, Lambeau at 229 and Landry at 270. Andy Reid also belongs to the group of coaches who have recorded at least 200 victories.
