Liverpool name Szoboszlai and Isak in lineup to face Brentford
Ryan Gravenberch misses out through suspension, while Cody Gakpo is back among Liverpool's substitutes after recovering from an ankle problem.

Dominik Szoboszlai and Alexander Isak will start Liverpool's Premier League meeting with Brentford on October 17, 2026, despite fitness concerns before the match. The teams confirmed their selections for the game at the Gtech Community Stadium.
Liverpool manager Andoni Iraola brings Szoboszlai into midfield in place of Ryan Gravenberch, who is suspended. Isak replaces Lewis Koumas following Liverpool's 3-0 loss to Manchester City. Cody Gakpo returns to the matchday squad as a substitute after an ankle problem.
Trey Nyoni is also a substitute, leaving the teenager waiting for his first Premier League start. Florian Wirtz keeps his place in the number 10 role, with Ronald Araujo selected at right-back and Jeremy Jacquet alongside Virgil van Dijk in central defense.
Keith Andrews has altered three places in Brentford's starting side after their 2-2 draw with Aston Villa. An injury rules Jannik Schuster out of the squad, with Sepp van den Berg taking his place. Dango Ouattara replaces Kevin Schade, who is on the bench following a shoulder problem, while Mathias Jensen comes in for El Hadji Malick Diouf.
Brentford also have Nathan Collins and Mikkel Damsgaard available as substitutes after injuries. The hosts sit one point above Liverpool and began gameweek seven unbeaten, along with Manchester City and Everton.
