Federico Valverde scored in the 92nd minute as Real Madrid recovered from two deficits to beat AEK Athens 3-2 on November 4, 2026, preserving their unbeaten start to the Champions League's league stage.

Jude Bellingham brought Madrid level at 1-1 after 32 minutes, but the visitors fell behind again. Kylian Mbappe equalized in the 78th minute before Valverde struck the winner in Athens.

The decisive goal took Madrid's tally of Champions League stoppage-time goals to 49, more than any other team in the competition's history. Jose Mourinho's side has won all four of its league-stage fixtures.

Valverde told reporters Madrid had struggled to create chances despite controlling play. Mourinho praised his team's intensity and said he had instructed Valverde to move into space rather than specifically asking him to shoot.

Madrid's winning run across all competitions now stands at seven matches. They next face Valencia in La Liga, seeking an eighth consecutive victory.
