Pittsburgh safety Jaquan Brisker challenged Jared Verse's performance after the Steelers defeated Cleveland 27-6, saying the Browns defensive end had not delivered on his comments about Pittsburgh.

In comments captured on video by Ashley Wenskoski of Pittsburgh Sports Tonight, Brisker said Verse should have stayed quiet and needed to improve. Verse's contributions in the defeat amounted to one assist and one quarterback hit.

The dispute followed remarks Verse made after Cleveland won 27-24 against Pittsburgh in Week 4, when he accused the Steelers' offensive line of dirty play. Ahead of the rematch, he expressed no concern about Pittsburgh's players and said Cleveland would make Pittsburgh its own.

Running back Jaylen Warren said Pittsburgh had paid little attention to those remarks, according to video from Nick Farabaugh of Penn Live. Verse was included in the Rams' June trade for Myles Garrett. Across eight games, he has registered six quarterback hits without a sack.
