Chicago Bears running back Kyle Monangai will miss the matchup with the Patriots because of injuries to his thumb and toe, the team said. Right guard Jonah Jackson, meanwhile, has no injury designation and is expected to play in the Thursday night game.

The absence will be Monangai’s third straight missed game. Chicago listed him as a non-participant throughout its three injury reports ahead of the matchup. His 2026 rushing totals stand at 324 yards and three touchdowns, alongside five receptions for 39 yards.

Jackson’s practice status improved over the course of the week. After being listed as a non-participant Monday, he moved to limited participation Tuesday and then full participation Wednesday.

On defense, Chicago ruled out linebacker Jack Sanborn with a concussion. A hamstring injury leaves linebacker T.J. Edwards doubtful, while defensive back Tyrique Stevenson is questionable with a hip injury. Linebacker Keyshaun Elliott, who had a quad injury, has no remaining designation and is set to play.
