Jeffery Simmons expects to stay with Titans beyond trade deadline
The defensive tackle says neither his agent nor the organization has told him of a move ahead of the November 10 deadline.

Titans defensive tackle Jeffery Simmons said he has received no indication that he will be traded before the November 10 deadline and expects to remain with the team.
In comments carried by the team’s website, Simmons said his agent and the organization had not communicated anything suggesting a trade. He described speculation from fans and outside media as a distraction, saying he was focused on the present rather than matters beyond his control.
Simmons agreed to a three-year extension during the offseason. His name has nevertheless appeared among potential trade candidates as the Titans have opened with a 1-6 record. That start has prompted speculation about whether the team could trade him to acquire assets.
