Manchester United goalkeeper Senne Lammens has defended the squad's commitment to Michael Carrick after captain Bruno Fernandes criticized the coach following United's 4-1 loss at Como. Speaking to Sky Sports, Lammens said he understood his teammate's frustration but maintained that the club remained united.

Lammens said he shared the disappointment over results and that frustrated players sometimes failed to fully express what they meant. He said players, staff and the front office supported Carrick, while acknowledging that the team needed to demonstrate that unity on the field.

United face Bournemouth at Old Trafford with Carrick under pressure over his position. They enter the weekend three points ahead of Sunderland, who sit last in the Premier League. Carrick addressed the team's difficulties in a six-minute speech during his pre-match press conference.

Lammens has recorded one clean sheet this season, against Sabah FK in the Champions League. His United record stands at nine shutouts across 43 appearances, with 16 goals conceded in 10 appearances during 2026-27.
