Barcelona are reportedly prepared to listen to January bids for Alejandro Balde as they seek funds for a significant winter signing. The 23-year-old defender has struggled for playing time after staying at the club during the summer transfer window.

The Athletic reports that Barcelona would consider allowing Balde to depart in 2027. His current deal has fewer than two years to run, and he has reportedly accepted that leaving is necessary to revive his career.

Balde made 42 competitive appearances last season, including 31 starts. His involvement this term amounts to five appearances, none as a starter. Hansi Flick has instead favored Joao Cancelo and Xavi Espart, although Espart is sidelined by an ankle problem.

Manchester United were linked with Balde during the summer but did not strengthen at left-back. Luke Shaw is still first choice there, with Diogo Dalot covering during his injury absences. Uncertainty about Michael Carrick's future is complicating United's preparations for the January window.
