Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has confirmed that Piero Hincapie is available to face Everton after recovering from an ankle injury, while Bukayo Saka needs further assessment of a quadriceps problem. Arteta did not formally rule Saka out of the Premier League match at the Emirates Stadium.

Saka, 25, came off within the opening 10 minutes of Arsenal's Champions League match against Bayern Munich, which finished 2-2. He was injured while attempting a pass. Arteta said another MRI was planned because fluid around the affected area had prevented a clear assessment of the damage.

The manager said additional scans and specialist opinions were needed, adding that Saka's difficulty walking without pain was a concerning sign. Eberechi Eze replaced him against Bayern and scored the opening goal.

Hincapie returned to team training after hurting his ankle during the warm-down following Arsenal's 2-1 victory over Leeds United on October 10. His availability gives Arteta the option of bringing him back into the side or retaining Riccardo Calafiori at left-back.

William Saliba has a back injury, while Christos Tzolis has a thigh problem. Arteta gave no update on Tzolis during the opening portion of his press conference.
