Indianapolis Colts running back Jonathan Taylor expects to be moved before the NFL trade deadline, insider James Palmer reported on Amazon Prime Video. Palmer cautioned that a deal would depend on whether another team meets Indianapolis' asking price.

According to the reports, the Colts may seek compensation equivalent to a first-round draft pick. Indianapolis reportedly plans to reassess offers after facing the 3-5 Dallas Cowboys, then pursue deals it considers worthwhile before the 4:00 p.m. ET deadline.

Taylor did not tell reporters whether he wanted to join a team with a winning record. His comments indicated that he expected to face Dallas as a Colts player.

The New York Giants and Minnesota Vikings have been linked to Taylor since October. Fox Sports reporter Ralph Vacchiano described strong interest from the 4-2-1 Giants, citing a source who said first-year head coach John Harbaugh had ambitious plans.

A trade remains uncertain. Indianapolis could retain Taylor, who signed a two-year contract extension over the summer.
