Real Madrid recorded an eighth successive victory across all competitions by beating Valencia 3-0 at Mestalla, where Kylian Mbappe scored for the seventh consecutive appearance. The result put Jose Mourinho's team level on points with La Liga leaders Barcelona.

Mbappe completed the scoring in the 75th minute. After receiving a pass from Arda Guler, he rounded goalkeeper Stole Dimitrievski and finished for his 17th goal in 16 appearances this season. His tally includes 13 goals from 12 league appearances and four in the Champions League.

Federico Valverde had opened the scoring after 28 minutes, converting a rebound when Mbappe's free kick hit the wall. Guler added the second eight minutes later from Jude Bellingham's delivery. Dimitrievski twice denied Mbappe after halftime before the forward eventually scored.

Valencia captain Jose Gaya was later dismissed for a foul on Mbappe as the forward threatened to break away. Madrid's victory was their tenth in 12 league matches, while Barcelona had collected their 30 points from 11 games.

Barcelona's next opponent was third-placed Atletico Madrid, who trailed both leaders by two points. Madrid are scheduled to host Celta Vigo on November 21, with Vinicius Junior available again after completing his four-match league suspension against Valencia.
