Rams linebacker Myles Garrett will remain out of practice ahead of the team's game against the Chargers, head coach Sean McVay told reporters. The absence means Garrett will miss a seventh consecutive game following knee surgery.

McVay said Garrett's recovery had not suffered a setback, but described his status as week-to-week. Garrett underwent surgery after the Rams lost to the 49ers in Week 1. An earlier report had suggested he was on course to resume practicing before the Chargers game.

The Rams' schedule next takes them on road trips to face the Commanders and Cardinals, followed by their Week 11 bye.

McVay also ruled out a practice return for tight end Terrance Ferguson ahead of the Chargers matchup. An ankle injury has kept Ferguson out for the past month.
