Palmer left out as King and Jobe Bellingham make England squad
Ben White and Djed Spence return for November’s Nations League fixtures, while Harry Kane could break England’s appearance record.

Thomas Tuchel has selected Josh King and Jobe Bellingham for England’s November UEFA Nations League fixtures against Croatia and Spain, leaving out Chelsea midfielder Cole Palmer despite his return to full fitness. Arsenal defender Ben White also returns to the squad.
Palmer missed the September/October selection because of injury and was criticized by Tuchel after withdrawing. Phil Foden, Kobbie Mainoo and Jordan Henderson are also absent from the latest midfield group.
Fulham’s King, 19, has contributed two goals and one assist across his first nine Premier League appearances this season. Borussia Dortmund midfielder Jobe Bellingham, 21, moves up from the Under-21s to join his older brother Jude. He has provided three assists in 14 matches during 2026-27.
White missed the World Cup and the September/October squad through injury and now replaces injured defender Trevoh Chalobah. Inter Milan’s Djed Spence has also been recalled. Goalkeeper Dean Henderson remains outside the squad despite recovering from a fitness problem, with Jason Steele selected alongside Jordan Pickford and James Trafford.
Harry Kane will surpass Peter Shilton’s England record of 125 caps if he makes an appearance during the November break. Dominic Calvert-Lewin is again included as his backup. England will face Croatia at Wembley before traveling to play Spain at the Metropolitano Stadium.
