The NFL Players Association has selected Steelers long snapper Christian Kuntz as its Week 9 Community MVP for the 2026 season, recognizing his support for students and children in Pittsburgh.

Kuntz contributed US$10,000 to Pittsburgh Morrow school to help establish a resource room expected to serve more than 200 students each month. He also helped supply the room with food and clothing.

His foundation held its first Kuntz 4 Ki6s Halloween Bash, hosting 80 children drawn from nine local nonprofit organizations. Kuntz said the recognition was particularly meaningful because Pittsburgh is where he grew up, and said he believed football gave him a platform to contribute beyond the sport.

As part of the honor, the NFLPA will give US$10,000 to his foundation. Kuntz and the season’s other weekly honorees will also be eligible for the Alan Page Award when the season ends.
