Tank Dell recorded his first reception in 673 days for the Houston Texans, turning a throw from C.J. Stroud into a 43-yard gain against the New York Giants. The catch came late in the second quarter with Houston behind 14-6.

Dell caught the ball at Houston's 27-yard line and advanced to New York's 30-yard line. He celebrated by spiking the ball after the play, having been activated by the Texans following a 22-month absence.

His absence followed a left knee injury during Houston's 27-19 defeat against the Kansas City Chiefs on Dec. 21, 2024. Dell tore his ACL, MCL and LCL, dislocated his kneecap and sustained meniscus damage. He missed the rest of the 2024 season and all of 2025.

Selected in the third round in 2023, Dell totaled 98 receptions, 1,376 yards and 10 touchdowns across his first two seasons. He turns 27 on Oct. 29.
