The Miami Heat remain without a win in the 2026-27 season after the Charlotte Hornets beat them 115-110. The defeat left Miami at 0-3, marking the fifth time the franchise has opened a season with three straight losses.

Giannis Antetokounmpo scored 14 points in 25 minutes against Charlotte. He had averaged 35.5 points across Miami's opening two games. The Heat acquired him in a trade with the Milwaukee Bucks before the season.

Miami last went winless through its opening three games in 2007-08, a season in which it finished with 15 wins. Of the four previous Heat teams that began 0-3, only one reached the playoffs.

With three games played in an 82-game schedule, Miami's next opportunity to end the losing streak comes against the Dallas Mavericks. The Heat are scheduled to host Dallas on Monday night as they seek their first victory.
