Hurzeler says Brighton remains his focus amid Manchester United links
Brighton are third with 16 points from seven matches, while Manchester United sit 13th as pressure grows on Michael Carrick.

Brighton & Hove Albion manager Fabian Hurzeler has stressed his commitment to his current role after reports named him as a possible replacement for Michael Carrick at Manchester United. His Brighton contract runs until 2029.
In comments carried by BBC Sport, Hurzeler said a schedule of matches every three days left him no time to consider speculation. He also expressed respect for Carrick and praised his work at United last season.
Carrick still has the backing of United's hierarchy, but results have increased the pressure on him. United have seven points and occupy 13th place in the Premier League, their poorest opening to a league campaign in 40 years. A 4-1 Champions League loss to Como was their biggest European defeat since 1994.
Reports say United have identified five managerial candidates should they dismiss Carrick, including Hurzeler. Brighton, meanwhile, have collected 16 points across seven league matches and stand third. Julian Nagelsmann and former Newcastle United manager Eddie Howe have also been linked with the United position.
